Well that was a long break! Apologies for the lack of updates guys!

As promised to I (Thank you for requesting), I’d be sharing my updated skin care routine with you guys. Before I start though, I have uploaded a skin care routine post before and there isn’t much difference than the previous ones but there are a couple of items that I stopped using and recently purchased.

For cleanser, I am still using the Foam Cleanser Moisture_EX from Laniege. I am not as brave as I was on trying out new cleansers. Because one time, I tried a cleanser from Neutrogena and it gave me breakouts, on my whole face! You can’t imagine how stressful it was. Though that product might be suitable for other people but it wasn’t for me so I went for Laniege and it really helped me clear all the breakouts and I figured to just stick to this one.

Like the cleanser, I am still using the same toner as before – Trouble Relief Toner from Laniege as well. I quite like this toner, it doesn’t dry my face and I’d always feel refreshed after using it. I’m actually not finished with my first bottle though that’s why I have still been using it, otherwise I’d purchase the toner I had before this, which was Power Essential Skin Refiner also from Laniege. I purchased the other one because the sales lady recommended it to me but once I run out of this toner, I’d probably buy the previous one. Not that it’s not good but I just feel the Power Essential Skin Refiner works better.

Now as for moisturizer, I know that I have been saying that the Green Tea Balancing Cream from Innisfree is my holy grail product but I changed to a new one from Laneige. You can see how crazy I am over Laneige products! Though I changed it mainly because I was lazy to purchase the moisturizer online as you can’t find them here in Brunei so I decided to settle with something that I can easily purchase. Now I’m using the Water Bank Essence_EX from Laniege. I have been using it for a couple of months and I quite like this product, it keeps my skin hydrated, which is I want from a moisturizer (of course) as my face has been crazy dry lately.

Honestly, those three products are the only ones I have been using everyday, both day and night! But I know that in my previous skin care routine post I have mentioned two other products; Milky Dress Soothing Blushed Skin Serum and the night cream from Good Virtues CO. Though sadly, I have stopped using both and that’s because I don’t see any improvements in my skin when using those products so I just stopped using them completely. It didn’t give me breakouts of anything but I just see no difference. (Too bad).

I do however often use night masks now but the masks I use are from different brands. I sometimes use the ones from Innisfree, Faceshop monstly and also the ones from Laniege. It’s clear that the brand I trust the most for my skin is Laniege and I can honestly say, I don’t think I’d want to change to other brands (for now, we’ll see).

If you have any product that you have recently purchased or about to, let me know, as I might have tried them before and I’d love to give you my reviews on them! Till next time guys.

I've never actually had skin problems when I was younger but when I was doing my A levels, my skin started to act up and it got me really worried. So I tried various ways to help improve my skin like buying all sorts of products, using home remedies, having my skin treated and all but my skin was still the same earlier this year; though, I've seen many improvements in my skin recently. I don't get acne as frequent as I did before, and that alone made me think that all these products I've been buying/using are worth it.

Disclaimer: All these products I'm about to share below might not suit your skin so you might need to find products that are suitable for yours! and 90% of them are from the same brand, and 98% of them are Korean products!

1. Cleanser

Before I use this cleanser, I actually got a different one from them which is this one here.

This cleanser is somehow like an exfoliator but it's not as hard compared to a normal exfoliator. This will gets smoother once you've massage it to your face. It doesn't really dry up my skin but I was just worried that  it might cause more trouble to my skin as it acts like an exfoliator.

I used the cleanser until the end though mainly because it was expensive (haha) but before purchasing the pink one, I used Faceshop's Blemish Zero cleanser. I actually really like the cleanser to the point I used it all up. It's a foam type of cleanser and it makes my face feel really clean, if that makes sens but sometimes it'll make my face a bit dry but other than that, it's really good. I'd recommend it!

As for the pink one, I can say that it's one of the best, it's really smooth, it doesn't have a scent like the rest of my previous cleansers but it works well. It leaves my face feeling fresh and most importantly it doesn't make my face dry.

I use this in the morning and at night.

2. Toner

Again, before I purchase this green toner, I got a different one from them as well.

This is by far, the best toner I have ever had. I've used this before when I was 17 and it still works wonders. It doesn't make your face dry after applying it and it actually freshens up your face. I have countless times where I feel like my face is dull but once I use this, it'll automatically freshen it up. I love it!

I wanted to re-purchase it but the sales lady whom I've known for years, suggested that I'd try the green one. I actually didn't like it at first because the toner feels a bit.. thick than the one I mentioned above but as I continue to use it, I can see that it really helps relieve any "troubles" on my face as it says on the bottle.

I use the toner twice a day, in the morning and at night.

3. Moisturizer

You guys know that I've blabbed about this on my previous posts but I really, really like this moisturizer from Innisfree. I like everything, green tea, from the drink, to ice cream, to the skincare products. I think that green tea really helps with your skin, cause I've been using green tea products since for as long as I can remember. I go crazy when I see products that has green tea and I would automatically purchase them because I believe in green tea. I don't have to talk more about this product as I've mentioned it in my previous post but the only disadvantage about it is that, they don't sell it here and if I don't travel, it'll be hard for me to get them. This one, I actually had them shipped from Korea so it took a while for them to get here but I don't mind because I loveeee this product.

I only use this moisturizer in the morning.

4. Serum

I have been trying to find the perfect serum but I honestly can say that I haven't found it yet. I actually stumbled upon this product when I was buying my moisturizer online, and I read the description which says it's to sooth redness on the face and I immediately thought that I should try it because unfortunately, I have redness all over my face.

After using this, I can see a slight improvement in my skin, it's not as red as how it is before so I'm really happy for that! I only use this at night after I use my toner because it mentions "highly intensive" on the bottle so I thought it was best to use it only at night.

5. Night Cream

I haven't read any reviews about this products as it's still new but I thought I might try it. The cream is quite thick so I'm glad it's a night cream because if I were to use a cream this thick in the morning, my face would get oily after a couple of hours. Though this cream smells really nice, it's gives a nice feeling on my skin after I use it too. Not sure if it brightened up my skin though but I'd just have to keep using it to see if it works and of course, I only use this at night.

So these are the main products that I use to improve my skin but I believe that they weren't the only reason. Exercise is probably one of them too. I used to not be bothered with exercising but since I do them regularly now, I think it helped improve my skin, somehow and drinking a lot of water helps too.

I also use face masks once in a while when I feel like I need to pamper myself after a stressful day and I believe it helps as well. I love face masks, I buy a lot of them every month. It's good for your skin and for yourself too because you need to pamper yourself once in a while.

If you have any questions about any of the products, feel free to ask me because I don't think I've explained enough. I'm really bad at describing all my favorite products!

It’s now a new month and that means, it's time for a new favorites post! I know I’m a bit late for my September favorites post because honestly I was just so lazy to take photos of the things I’m going to talk about and since the power was out for a half an hour (or so) today, thought I’d take pictures of them to pass the time.

First: Mascara
Brand: Maybelline The Magnum Volum’ Express Waterproof
Purchased from: Guardian

I know that this mascara is kind of old but just recently when I was going through all the makeup my sister didn’t bring with her to the UK, I found this mascara. I’ve worn this before but I’m not sure why I stopped because clearly, I love love love this mascara now. I wear this mascara almost everyday for the past month! If you’ve been following my favorite makeup posts then you will know that I always wear my NYX mascara but to be honest, I have not worn them for quite a while now. Guilty.

This mascara is amazing. It adds volume and length to my eyelashes, which makes it thicker but it still looks natural. It’s also waterproof (as stated) and I absolutely love waterproof products because my face gets oily so they tend to smudge if they’re not waterproof. It’s waterproof to the point that it’s a bit difficult for me to take it off. I’m not sure if it’s my makeup eraser or the mascara but I find it hard to take it off and that’s probably the only flaw I can say for this product.

Second: Lip Tint
Brand: Revlon Protective Lip Tint
Code: 060 Berry
Purchased from: Guardian

Whenever I’m in a hurry, which is almost all the time, I tend to always wear whatever lip products I carry in my handbag and this is one of them. I actually got this from years back honestly, when I was staying in KB at my cousin’s place and her mother bought this for me. I’m not sure if they still sell these though because it was from a long time ago but it still works so I still wear them. It wasn’t my go-to lip product at first because I don’t really like dark lips but somehow last month, I wore this color almost all the time. ALMOST. It’s easy to apply and it doesn’t dry out my lips; probably because it’s a lip tint. It also has SPF 15! Wonderful.

Third: Shampoo and Conditioner
Brand: Good Virtues Co.
Shampoo: Happy & Heavenly Anti Dandruff Care Shampoo Nourishing Hair Fall Protection
Conditioner: Helpful & Delightful Anti Dandruff Care Conditioner Nourishing Hair Fall Protection
Purcahsed From: Supasave

First of all, HOW CUTE IS THE PACKAGING??

You know I’m a sucker for cute packaging so they immediately caught my eyes. I was on a hunt of finding a new shampoo because the shampoo I used before this was the one I have been using for 3 years straight. The reason why I didn’t change it was because whenever I try to, my scalp ends up getting really itchy and flaky and it would only stop if I go back to the original shampoo that I was using. This happened a lot for the past 3 years and it was quite worrying because this shampoo worked well at first and in the end my hair just got used to it, I guess.

So when I bought these two, I was really hoping that my scalp won’t get all itchy and flaky because if they did, I would be so disappointed on not being able to continue using the shampoo and conditioner. After 2 weeks of using them, my scalp wasn’t itchy AT ALL. I was quite surprised because as I said, no matter how many times I’ve tried to change my shampoo, I couldn’t BUT FINALLY, after 3 years, I have found the PERFECT shampoo and conditioner!!

It doesn’t only smell nice, but it doesn’t make my hair oily nor does it make my scalp itchy. I see no dandruff on my hair, amazing but I still have hair falls from time to time so I probably just have to keep continue using them. Bonus point for the packaging, of course. Sigh. I just love these two!

Forth: Movie
Title: Inside Out

Credit: Google
Now, I actually watched this movie last August with my family and I don’t know why I didn’t put it in my August Favorites because this movie deserves to be in a favorites post. I am the type of person who would always be down to watch animation movies, and if I were to list all the animation movies I love, it would be never-ending. When my siblings first talked about it, I had no idea what’s it about as I’m not the type of person who watches trailers. I prefer to just go in the movies without expecting or knowing anything about it but somehow the title got me curious and it got me thinking, what kind of movie is this?

So I went on youtube and watched the trailer and honestly from that moment, I couldn’t stop bothering my family about it. I was curious on how the story goes and I was curious on how it will end. I don’t want to spoil it to anyone who hasn’t watched it but the movie wasn’t a boring one, at least to me cause there would always be something happening. It’s wonderful.

AND. They had a short animation clip before that too that made me sing along and dance to it! I have the song on my phone now and I listen to it all the time. So to anyone who hasn’t watched it, YOU SHOULD. I’m not really sure if they’re still showing it but if they are, go go go watch!

Last: Quote

Credit: WeHeartIt

Once you’ve read the quote, I’m sure you understand what it means. Last month was quite a rough month for me as I lost one of the special people in my life, assignments were building up, people were getting on each others’ nerves and all those things. So there are times when I feel like I just want to shut the world and just be alone, not talking to anyone, not doing any task, just simply do nothing but then I thought, there are so many things to do, so many responsibilities that I don’t have time to mope around and do nothing. I told myself whatever that is going on in my life, people out there have it worse, I should be thankful for all the blessings I have.

Everyday might not be a good day but at least I have a roof above my head, meals on my plate and most importantly education. We are so blessed living in Brunei that the government either pays or subsides almost everything. There are a lot of people who depend on me, who need me and I can’t just let myself crumble for so long. Yes, I broke down but I told myself to immediately get back up. I had one bad night that made me lose my focus for the whole day, the next day but Alhamdulillah, at the end of the day I managed to gain back my senses.

This quote means a lot to me, it might sound sassy but it’s true. Whatever situation you are in, make sure to be professional about it. Don’t let personal matters affect your work or your schoolwork. It is ok to cry, it is ok to have a day off from everything but you have to tell yourself, once this is over, I’m going to leave whatever I just let out and move on with my life. As what was quoted “no matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up.”

That is all for last month’s favorites! Till next time.

All photos are taken by me, otherwise stated.

Being confident with yourself can be easy for some people but it can also be the most difficult task for others. We tend to get insecure with every single thing and that includes on how we dress. Dressing well is in no doubt the best way to increase our confidence but the question is how can we be confident with ourselves even if we can’t be confident with what we wear? Others may have different tactics on how they can be confident with what they wear but let me just share mine.

1. Get inspired.
Choosing my own outfits and finding my own style is difficult for me, therefore I look for inspirations everywhere; I buy fashion magazines, I go to fashion websites and I even go on fashion-related instagram accounts. There are lots of ideas and inspirations that you can get from all these sources, especially instagram. Why give yourself a headache on searching for fashion websites when you can go to instagram? Be nosy and look at how others style themselves, they might even suit you!

2. Be brave and hear what people say.
Once you’ve decided on what style you want to go with then make sure you put that to the test! Go out and show the world your new style AND make sure you hear what people say. Criticism is hard, although, those honest remarks are the ones that will make you stronger. If your friends don’t think you suit that style then take into consideration BUT you have to know that at the end of the day, its YOU who choose what style you want regardless of what people say.

I’ve tried many styles before and my friends gave me their opinions about it too so I listened. I get sad when they say this certain style doesn’t suit me but maybe they are right. I am the type of person who doesn’t know my own personality, I know what I like and what I don’t but it’s hard to describe myself to others when they want to get to know me. So with that, I choose to listen to others.

But again, at the end of the day, it’s your choice whether to stick to that style or change up a few things. Your new style might even grow on your friends, you wouldn’t know!

3. Stay positive!
Sounds cliché but it helps a lot. I often have times where I don’t feel confident in what I wear that day but sometimes I chose not to care about it. I have amazing people around me who won’t judge me regardless anything, so why worry? Stay positive and smile! A smile is the best makeup every girl can wear! And I totally agree with the statement. Show them that beautiful smile and people would care less about what you wear!

I know it’s hard to be confident when you see a lot of people wearing pretty outfits and everything but that’s their life. You have to live yours too! And hiding yourself because you’re not confident won’t get you anywhere. You’ll realize you’ll be happier once you stop caring what others say about you.
Though this may contradict what I mentioned earlier, but as I said, in the end it’s YOUR choice.

I have a few #ootds that I’d like to share. Who knows these might help!

1.
Shawl: I made it myself
Jumper: FashionValet
Bag: Sofina3 Signature by Sometime
Pants: iTop

I often like wearing all black and pairing it up with my Sofina 3 Signature!

2.

Shawl: Myself
Sweater: GAP
Bag: Something Borrowed
Pants: Diesel
Heels: Zalora (I think)

I wore this for a movie night with my family!

3.
Shawl: I'm not sure!
Blouse: Alrezkhanz
Pants: This, I'm not sure as well
Bag: DKNY
Sometimes I just mix match different colors to my outfit!
4.
Shawl: Aniqah Collections
Blouse: I'm not sure,
Skirt: Forever21
Bag: Guess
Heels: Zalora
When I feel extra girly I wear skirts!
 4.
Shawl: Myself
Top: Not sure (same top as above!!)
Skirt: Alrezkhanz
Bag: Sofina3 Signature by Sometime
Flats: Not sure (It says V though, hmm)

And again! I love flowy skirts!
5.

Shawl: Not sure
Blouse: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Diesel
Bag: Mango

I wear this when I'm lazy (which is almost all the time)

So there you go! Outfits I often wear!
You can see that I wear almost the same thing all the time but I tend to switch it up once in a while too. So you don't actually need a number of clothes. Just be creative!
Hope this helps even a tiny bit!

Hi everyone! I have uploaded a make up tutorial on youtube!

I know I mentioned last time in my previous “Whats in our bag? Video!” post that I did Liyana’s makeup and I filmed it because I wanted to show you guys how I do my makeup. The makeup I did was based on my previous post as well, the Jenn Im inspired makeup. I didn’t explain one by one in the video as I’ve already done that on my previous post so you can just sit back and watch!

It took me this long because first, I honestly thought no one was waiting for it but I thought wrong. Thank you “Orange” for wanting the makeup tutorial and I do apologize if you have waited so long for it.

Second, I was actually contemplating whether or not to post it because the make up I did was not perfect; the eyebrows didn’t match, neither did the eyeliner. Plus, the lighting and the angles were bad that it made me cringe. So it got me thinking, maybe I’ll just film a new one next time but with everything that has been going on, we couldn’t find a right time to re-do it.

But I hear you guys! This tutorial may not be perfect but at least you will get a glimpse of how I actually do my makeup. I will post more makeup tutorials in the future, but next time I’ll make sure to do it on my face, as I don’t want to ruin Liyana’s beautiful face anymore. Haha. Sorry for that Liyana! You still look gorgeous even when I did your makeup horribly. Also I’ll make sure to find the best angle and lighting for you guys!

Please comment below or on our chatbox what kind of make up tutorial you want me to do.

And again, I would like to apologize for the long delay and I hope you enjoy the tutorial.

P/s; Next post will be about fashion! As requested! Even if I think I’m not that fashionable as some people but you request for it, then I shall do my best. I’m not sure when it will be up because I will be sitting for my tests soon and my lecturers have been throwing various assignments to me so I’m trying to make time to do your requests. BUT! Know that I actually am very happy to be getting requests, I love doing these things, and I’ll always do my best for our readers! So...

Here's the video!

Everyone can tell by now that I am a makeup junkie and there is no point in denying that anymore. One thing I have realized people who are into makeup have more lip products than anything else. Which might not be true to some people but to me, that is pretty accurate. I have countless lip products to the point that there is a possibility that I might find at least one in each of the bags I always wear. I know I have a small pouch where I put my make up but there are times when I feel lazy to carry every single thing so I just end up grabbing the lipstick I feel like wearing and just throw in my bag for touch up throughout the day.

So, yesterday before I went out with my cousins, I applied four different kinds of lipsticks of different shades!

First is, Maybelline’s lipstick in MAT4.

I have my moments where I would just wear red lipstick throughout the whole week and this week was one of them. I can say this lipstick is one of my go to lipsticks but I usually wear my red lipstick whenever I wear black hijab or black tops. So when I say this lipstick was my go-to lipstick then you know I always wear black outfits! I own a lot of black outfits and I don’t know why too.

Next is Etude’s Dear My Wish Lips-Talk PK 001.

I was attracted to the packaging at first because LOOK AT THAT. Isn’t it cute? See, I am a sucker for cute packaging, someone please help me. But on the bright side, Etude was having a clearance sale where they gave 60% discounts to most of the items there and my lipstick was one of them! So, that’s a win-win situation guys. I got my beautiful lipstick at a 60% discount price and they got to get rid of the items quickly. See, I’m helping them.

This next color is Maybelline’s NU35S.

It’s a bit new to me, as I don’t think I suit nude lipsticks but I wanted to be “adventurous” so I went on and bought myself one. There are times where I would look extremely pale wearing this lipstick but apparently not in the picture. I think it’s because of the hijab that I chose…. Maybe, who knows! This is not really my go-to lipstick, as I would only wear them if I was in a rush and it was the first one I grabbed.

Last is one of my favorites! I don’t know the name (or code) of the lipstick though so I apologize for that!

But I’ve had this for a couple of years now, and I’ve been wearing it most of the time. I just love everything about this lipstick, I don’t really buy products from Holika Holika but this one is an exception. I absolutely adore this shade, it doesn’t give out that bright pink shade, I think it’s just… right. I love it and I can say this is my number one go to lipstick!

So, among all the shades, which one do you think suits me best?

So, during lunch I talked about the blog with my family and my sister gave me an incredible idea on what to blog about! She told me she wants to be given credit for suggesting the idea so here you go, shout out to my sister, Syahirah Firzanah for giving me the idea to blog about my August favorites!

I was thinking hard on what to include in my august favorites because I am not sure how all these monthly favorites work, do you mention the things you bought in August which you love or do you talk about the things you bought a few or couple of months earlier and still loving to this date? And I’ve decided to go with the latter. Also, I am planning to do this for every month but I will be limiting the things to only 5 of them!

So,
First is Perfume: Anna Sui Forbidden Affair

I have always been a perfume lover and a perfume collector; I could have more than 2 perfumes but I would only use one. I know, it’s a bad habit but often the reason why I buy a lot of perfumes is because I love the packaging. Yes, I am a sucker for pretty packaging and I would purchase that item right away when I see the packaging is cute. Sigh. I need help.

Anyway so last June I went to Singapore for my holiday and I bought different types of perfume, one of them was Anna Sui’s Forbidden Affair. I love the smell of this perfume; it has such a sweet smell. It doesn’t give out that strong smell as well, where you would cough nonstop the moment you inhale the smell. Yeah, I hate those types of perfume. AND the packaging is so cute too! I am in love with the shape of the bottle! The top looks like a crown, or is it just me.

Although I have to say the name of the perfume sounds sad but it doesn’t matter because the smell is amazing and I use this perfume almost all the time. Why not all the time? Because I want to save this perfume for as long as possible! I don’t get to travel a lot so I rarely have the chance to buy all these stuff so I try to save up whenever I can. Though if I were desperate, I would go online and buy them.

Second is Clothing: GAP Sweater

I have been loving this sweater from GAP lately. I use it all the time but mostly at night when it’s a bit cool. Bruneians know how the weather has been very unpredictable lately. It could be raining cats and dogs one time and all sunny the next. So I wear this sweater whenever it’s chilly. I love the fabric of this sweater; it’s not that thick but its also not that thin. Though, the color was the first thing that attracted me to even look at this sweater because I have been obsessed with gray lately. I don’t know why too. It’s just really pretty in my eyes.

Third is Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner

You may realize in my previous makeup post that I talked about this eyeliner. Yep, it’s Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner. Honest to God that this eyeliner stands by their name, first it does stay all day and second it is really waterproof. As I mentioned in my previous post as well that people say that whenever you have an oily face, your eyeliner or your mascara will still smudge no matter what. I have an oily skin and this eyeliner doesn’t smudge, AT ALL. I also love the fact that this eyeliner is easy to apply, because I know there are other eyeliners out there makes it hard to draw a perfect line but I can assure you, if you use this eyeliner, you will do it with ease. Well…. If you’ve got enough practice that is. Hehe.

Fourth is Makeup Remover: Makeup Eraser

I wanted to talk about this on a separate post because I figure it deserves a post on its own, as this is definitely one of the Holy Grail products, EVER. I got my makeup eraser from my sister (thanks zats) and I have to say, I save more money now because I use this instead of my previous makeup cleansers. The only thing you need is water and you just clean your face with the damp towel.

I didn’t believe in the makeup eraser before this because you need more than just water to cleanse your face! So when I used it for the first time, I re-cleanse my face with my sephora makeup cleanser and NOTHING was on the cotton pad. Nothing. It’s safe to say that the towel cleared up most of my makeup.
Although, whenever I have more makeup on my face than usual, I would wipe my face with the towel twice. The towel also has two sides, and the bottom one is for you to exfoliate. It really smoothens my face every time I use it. It’s amazing. I would totally recommend this product.

Last is Skincare: Innisfree green tea balancing cream

I have an oily-combination skin and I have been on a hunt to find the perfect moisturizer to make my face less oily. This moisturizer has got to be the closest one! It’s not the perfect one I’ve been looking for but it does make my face less oily. Which I really really love! It doesn’t suffocate my skin after I apply it and it dries out quickly. So yay for that!

Though in Brunei we don’t have Innisfree so I have to order it online before it runs out because I don’t have plans on changing it any time soon. I want to see if it really does make a difference to my face and it smells really good too! I love anything green tea. They’re amazing.

So, those are my top five favorite products so far!

What are yours? I’d love to know! I might even try some.

p/s; I would like to thank Mr.Google for the 4 photos I use above.

So yesterday Liyana and I decided to film a "Whats in our bag" Video! We honestly were just bored and we thought it would be fun to film it instead of writing it down.

Note that its our first ever video, so I apologize if the quality, the audio and everything else are not perfect! We didn't have fancy equipments, we just used my camera and just edited them with iMovie. Also, we couldn't find a perfect angle to shoot the video, for the lighting of course because we decided to use natural lighting. So, we do apologize if one part it gets too bright and the other gets too dark. I blame my walls too because they're pink. It has its disadvantage.

In this video, I did Liyana's makeup! Based on the post I made which was a Jenn Im inspired makeup post! We filmed that too actually but I figured that was for another day. The lighting also made our eyebrows look weird!! Just trying to put it out there guys but we're both not eyebrows crazy, we don't really care how our eyebrows look. Haha.

So, with that being said, here's the link to our video!

Last but not least, Enjoy everyone! Sorry again if it's not perfect, it was our first try and please, NO negativities! hehe

I know I said I would blog again yesterday but I was caught up with everything that I didn’t have the time to update. Before I begin though, as I mentioned on my previous post that I was excited for pretty little liars right? So I watched it yesterday and, honestly I am even more confused than before. YES we know who A is but, really? Everything doesn’t add up! Sigh better wait for the next season then.

SO ANYWAY,

I have always been a bag lover, I always tell people that I don’t think I have enough bags when in fact I have more than what my bag holder can handle. Trust me, I tried to give away my unused bags but I just cant help it! They are my babies and they need to stay with me forever. So a couple of months ago, or maybe more than that I have been eyeing on this bag by Vivy Yusof which was the Sofina 3 bag. I liked the previous bags before that one but I wasn’t as attracted to the rest as this one.

Though I missed my chance to grab the bag because it sold out quickly and I honestly did not expect that so I was like, ok maybe not my luck. THEN, they opened a pre-order for the Sofina 3 but I told myself, lets just think about it first. I dragged it on until the date for the pre-order closed. I automatically regretted it! Though at that time I didn’t think I needed a new bag, but whenever I see people with their Sofina bag it hurts me inside. Dramatic but its true.

THEN comes the day they announced the release of Sofina 3 Signature! I told myself to get this bag no matter what it takes! But then I went to sometime_byasiandesigners’ instagram and they said they will be releasing the bag the same time as the school event which I had to attend. I was honestly devastated, I was thinking of asking people to get it for me but I figured it was too much. And then when I was about to sleep, I got a tweet from a friend saying FashionValet released Sofina 3 Signature already. I rose up quickly, grabbed my wallet as I switched on the laptop. I told myself I have to get this, no. matter. what!

So I went to FashionValet’s website and clicked the Sofina 3 bag AND I realized I’ve forgotten my password. So in the midst of everyone rushing to grab the Sofina bag, I just had to forget my password. Though! I didn’t panic! I just quickly made a new password, and thankfully I’ve put my address before hand when I created the account and I was only left with my card details. Quickly keyed them in and Voilà, Sofina 3 Signature in Grey, PURCHASED. I went to bed with a smile on my face that night.

So, the next day, as I was cleaning up my shoe cabinet, someone rang the bell, I opened the door (carefully cause I don’t like to open doors for strangers but that day I just had to) and TADAAAAA! MY BAG CAME. I shrieked and the delivery man laughed and said “enjoy.” So I said thank you and quickly ran inside to open up the parcel.

There it was, my new beautiful baby, my Sofina 3. I have to say I am really satisfied with this bag. Everyone (maybe not everyone) knows that I love big bags! I have a lot of "necessities" that I need to have in my bag. So I always go for big bags.

My Sofina 3 Signature = Big, beautiful color, amazing quality, how can I not be obsessed with this bag!

Thank you FashionValet for the excellent service. Sofina 3 was honestly the first purchase I have ever done on FashionValet, and it was a memorable one! That includes me changing the password in midst of everyone trying to purchase a limited edition item. Haha.

So here are three pictures of me attempting to do an #ootd with my Sofina 3 Signature that Nisa took.

Me: "Nisa its so panas."
Nisa: "Eh just pose!!"

Me: "But....."

Me:  "...the sun"
Yep, thats how I take my ootd guys haha.

It’s been approximately two weeks since we welcomed Syawal and I hope all of you enjoyed, or are still enjoying the festive season unlike me… why? Because I have been sick since the 4th day of raya. I know, it sucks. I had plans on going out to visit more of my friends’ houses but I got really sick to the point that I could not leave my bed. I’m much better now compared to the first week, Alhamdulillah but I am on the verge of losing my voice. Sigh. That’s okay. I hope I’ll get better before semester starts, which will be next weeek! Yikes.

So today I want to talk about my makeup on the 4th day of raya, before I got really sick which was inspired by Jenn Im’s Girl Next Door! I got the idea to talk about them because of my friend, Diyana Amin. She asked me something about makeup and I showed her the picture and I thought, hey why not blog about this! So here I am! She’s also a blogger guys, go check her out at diyana-a.blogspot.com!

So lets get started!

First, base makeup which consists of primer, foundation, concealer and setting powder.
For the primer I used, benefit’s porefessional. I have to say this is one of the Holy Grail products! No one can say no to this product, NO ONE. I love how its very light on the face, it doesn’t give that gooey feeling like some primers do and it really does hide your pores. So I just put a reasonable amount on my face, because honestly you only need a bit. A bit goes a long way with this one guys.

So next, foundation. For foundation, I mix Cyber Colors’ Essence UV Liquid Foundation and Lo’Real True Match Foundation. I know in my previous make up post I said I wouldn’t change my foundation because I really loved my Revlon foundation but I ran out of it and I searched the whole of Brunei for it and they didn’t have the shade that I want. I KNOW. I was devastated so I bought the Lo’Real foundation out of desperation but I have to say it does its job but it makes my face oily after a while.

As for Cyber Colors’, I bought this when I was in Singapore when I was searching for the Revlon foundation as well but then I got this one instead. So far I’m really loving this product… It covers up well, it doesn’t make my face that oily and it’s very light on the skin. Which I love because I hate suffocating my skin with heavy foundation. So, I mix both of the foundation and just dab it all over my face with my beauty blender.

Concealer, I used Revlon’s ColorStay concealer and I honestly just concealed under my eyes because everything else has been covered up by the foundation. Mostly. Which I really really love too! So after everything is done, I set my face with Bare Mineral’s Mineral Veil. I’m loving this product too because, again, it’s very lightweight, and it’s translucent so it doesn’t add color to my skin.

On to the brows, I love doing my brows after I have finished the base makeup and before I work on my eyes. I don’t know why but it’s become a habit and I like it like that too. So I used, Benefit’s Browzings in the shade “dark”. Honestly at first I didn’t like this product but I just kept using it because I thought it would be a waste. Though eventually I came to like it and I use it everyday now. So yay! I don’t know how to describe me doing my eyebrows because again, I have not mastered in this area yet but I’ll just tell you how I did it anyway. First, I brush my eyebrows so it won’t look like it’s all over the place and then I just slowly fill in my eyebrows with the product. I just follow the shape of my eyebrows because I don’t pluck them. I don’t know how but I don’t really care about them anyway. Haha. So after I fill them in, I put some concealer besides my eyebrows (if that makes sense) to make it less messy.

As for the eyes, I don’t use any eye primer because I don’t own one and that has to change but I don’t really use eye shadow that much anyway so I guess that’s why I still don’t have it till now. So I go straight on the eye shadows and I used the NAKED 3 palette, BUT before that I used the NYX Eye Jumbo Pencil in Yoghurt as the base of my eye shadow and I love love the color. It’s really pretty. And after that I go on and took the shade “Limit” and just place that all over my lid and to the inner corner of my eyes. Then I took a brown pencil liner and just draw a line with a slight wing and took the shade “Liar” and just blend it with the brown eyeliner. And lastly I took the shade “Factory” and just place them in the middle towards the end of my eyes. After everything, I just blend them all together.

NEXT! Eyeliner and Mascara. For eyeliner, I used Stilla’s “stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner” and just draw a slight cat eye, which I just realized I am terrible at so I hope you guys can do that with ease! I didn’t like the way it looked on me when I did it. Sigh. That’s okay. So for the eyelashes, first I curl my lashes and put on an eyelash base from Etude which I bought in Singapore as well. I’m not so sure if they sell it here though. I have to check that out soon. So anyway, after I apply them to my eyelashes then I applied my favorite mascara, YES still the NYX Le Chick Flick waterproof mascara. I love this product. And good news everyone! I know some people say that even with waterproof eyeliners and mascaras, they will still smudge if you have an oily face BUT guess what! They did not smudge at all! I kid you not. I was happy I didn’t have to rub off the smudges under my eyes. Finally.

Almost done guys, next are the bronzer, blusher and highlighter. For the bronzer I use NYX’s Matte Bronzer and just use the “3” technique to apply them on my face. I’ve been loving this bronzer as it doesn’t make my face look dark and it’s very lightweight as well. I am all for lightweight product guys. Then I go on to apply the blusher I use from this NAKED FLUSHED palette, and I love this color too, it’s not too pink, it gives out that “rosy cheeks” look which you know I love so much. I used the highlighter from the palette as well, and just apply them on the highest part of my cheeks and on the centre of my nose.

Last but not least, the lips! I used Estee Lauder’s lipstick in the shade CANDY. This is such a nice color. I love this lipstick and as you can see, I’ve used most of them and it doesn’t look pretty anymore. Sorry for that guys!

SO, that is all! I know this is such a long post but I figured that I’d talk about it. Till next time guys.
